Breathe Better Foundation Mission

The mission of the Breathe Better Foundation is to improve the quality of life of children and adults with asthma and allergies through patient-care, education, and community resources.

Breathe Better Foundation History

The Breathe Better Foundation was established in 1993 and is the not-for-profit division of Colorado Allergy & Asthma Centers, P.C. (CAAC) which was nationally recognized for Patient Care and Innovation by Mother's of Asthmatics (MA) and the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.

Programs and Services

Breathe Better Bus - The Breathe Better Bus is a 40-foot, bus, powered by compressed natural gas (CNG) that has been converted to an educational center. The bus contains six interactive learning stations that provide health education surrounding the respiratory system with a focus on controlling asthma and tobacco education and prevention.

School Based Asthma Screening - The Breathe Better Foundation has participated in a collaborative effort to assist the children with asthma, their families and school personnel in Adams County School District #50. The overall goal is to identify children who may have breathing problems due to asthma or under controlled asthma. Currently asthma screening is scheduled for Sheridan and Weld County Schools. Colorado Asthma Coalition – The Colorado Asthma Coalition (CAC) is a consortium of healthcare professionals and community members committed to working together as a major force in solving the public health crisis caused by asthma. As membership of the CAC has grown, the funding sources have also expanded to include both governmental and foundation sponsorship. Over 60 agencies and 150 individuals are working together to collectively solve the public health crisis caused by asthma.
